PROCEEDINGS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA Sub:- Grant of Interim Relief to State Government Pensioners and Family pensioners. GOVERNMENT ORDER NO. FD (Spl) 265 PEN 2011 BANGALORE, DATED: 22nd NOVEMBER 2011 In G.O.No.FD 23 SRP 2011 dated 15.06.2011 Government have constituted an Official Pay Committee for considering various demands of State Government employees. Pending receipt of the recommendations of the Official Pay Committee. Government have decided to sanction Interim Relief at the rate of 15% of basic pension/family pension with effect from 1st November 2011 to the State Government pensioners/family pensioners and pensioners/family pensioners of local bodies, aided educational institutions and retired non-teaching staff of the Universities. 2. Accordingly, Government are pleased to sanction Interim Relief at the rate of 15% of basic pension/family pension with effect from 1st November 2011 to the State Government pensioners/family pensioners and pensioners/family pensioners of local bodies and aided educational institutions and retired non-teaching staff of the Universities. 3. This order shall not be applicable to pensioners/family pensioners who were drawing pay in the UGC, AICTE, ICAR and FNJPC scales of pay and who retired on or after 1st January 2006. 4. The payment on account of Interim Relief involving fractions of fifty paise and above shall be rounded off to the next rupee and fractions less than fifty paise shall be ignored. 5. The amount of Interim Relief sanctioned in this order shall not count as emoluments for the purpose of dearness allowance or any other purpose. 6. The expenditure on Interim Relief will be booked under the same head of account from which pension is being drawn.
