The steps involved in Beneficiary Login and Updating Aadhar No are as follows:
1. open url cghs.nic.in
2. In the window opened click on the button 'Click here to view Beneficiary Details'
3. Click on the button 'Login with Beneficiary ID'
4. In the window opened click on the button 'Register Here'
5. In the window opened enter the details and click on button 'Register'
a) Enter the Beneficiary ID No, date of Birth and the Mobile Number. In case the details entered are matching with data in CGHS Data base a system generated ’One time pass word (OTP) ' will be sent to the registered mobile phone by SMS
b) If, there is a message "details for selected beneficiary not found" please check the details entered or contact CMO i/c of CGHS Wellness Centre for correction of Data / Mobile Phone number in the CGHS Data base
c) In case the pass word is forgotten click on button ’Forgot pass word’ and follow the steps.
6. Once the pass word is received, please go back to Beneficiary sign in page and login using the Beneficiary ID No and password
7. In the window that opens one of the options is 'Update Aadhar No.’ Please click on the button and enter the Aadhar Numbers of the family Members and save.

Emergency Facilities in CGHS Dispensaries
The CGHS dispensaries have all the medicines required in emergency. As per the CGHS guidelines, a provision is there to keep medicines available to counter any medical emergency that might arise within the Wellness Centre. There is an Emergency Tray available with the nursing staff which contains most of the medicines required under emergency situation. The availability of the medicines with their valid date of expiry in this Emergency Tray is checked on a regular basis and also during surprise checks.
A complaint was received on 07.09.2013 from Sh. R. C. Khuntia, the then Member of Parliament in respect of pensioner beneficiary, Sh. B. K. Joshi regarding non-supply of life saving drugs on time by CGHS Bhubaneswar. The delay in supply was due to non availability of cancer medicine with the authorized stockiest.
In case the medicines are not available at the Wellness Centre, they are procured through local purchase. If any medicine is prescribed by the treating doctor that is required to be used immediately and if that medicine is not available in the Wellness Centre, authority slip is issued to the patient to collect the medicine from the authorized local chemist free of cost.
The Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Shri J P Nadda stated this in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha here today.

Sub: Issue of medicines / reimbursement of expenditure on investigations / treatment procedures / implants and other medical devices under CGHS- regarding
With reference to the above mentioned subject the undersigned is directed to state that this Ministry has examined the matter in detail and with a View to streamlines the procedures regarding issue of medicines, reimbursement of expenditure on investigations, treatment procedures, implants and medical devices and with a View to plug the loopholes in the system, it has now been decided that:
a) CGHS shall supply / indent only those medicines, which are included in the CGHS formulary, except for para (b) below. However, for medicines prescribed outside formulary, medicines with identical formulations and /or similar therapeutic effect may be supplied from CGHS formulary against such medicines. CGHS formulary containing 1447 generic and 622 branded medicines is available on CGHS Website at http://msotransparentnic.in/
b) Anti Cancer and other similar medicines are however supplied on a case to case basis. Only the medicines approved by DCGI for use in India shall be supplied. In case an Indian version is available, which is cheaper than the imported medicine, only the Indian medicine shall be supplied even if, an imported medicine has been prescribed.
c) Medicines shall be supplied for a maximum period of one month.
d)In case of CGHS beneficiaries going abroad, issue of medicines shall be restricted for a maximum period of three months.
e) CGHS shall hereinafter allow only the listed investigations / treatment procedures for which there are prescribed CGHS rates, to be under taken in CGHS empanelled diagnostic centres and hospitals.
f) Similarly, only listed implants / medical devices with a CGHS prescribed ceiling rate shall be permitted for treatment / reimbursement under CGHS.
g) In those cases where any unlisted investigation / treatment procedure is undertaken the reimbursement shall be limited to the rate of nearest similar investigation / treatment procedure under CGHS. Addl. Director of the city /zone shall take a decision based on justification in such cases, in consultation with experts in the field, if necessary.
h) In those cases where any unlisted implant / device is installed reimbursement shall be limited to the CGHS rate of nearest similar implant / device. Addl. Director of the city / zone shall take a decision based on justification in such cases in consultation with experts in the field, if necessary.
i) Registration of Mobile number with CGHS has been made compulsory as a guard against misuse of CGHS Card.
j) In order to provide a mechanism to update the investigations / treatment procedures / implants , etc., as an ongoing process , a Technical Committee is being constituted to consider inclusion / exclusion of investigations /treatment procedures / implants , etc., under CGHS.

The undersigned is directed vide Directorate General of Central Govt. Health Services New Delhi Office Order No.S.11045/23/2013/CGHS D.II9HEC)/CGHS(p)/(pt) dtd. 15-7-2013 to Invite reference to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Office Memorandum no.S.11011/23/2009-CGHS D.II/Hospital Cell (Part.IX) dated 14/2/2013 vide which continuous empanelment scheme was initiated for empanelement of private hospitals/diagnostic centers under CGHS.
In response to the O.M. dtd. 14/2/2013 the following hospitals/diagnostic centres have applied for emapanelment under CGHS, Ahmedabad :-
1. Apollo Hospitals International
2. Shalby Hospitals
3. Nidhi Hopspitals
4. Parekhs Hospitals
5. Diva Eye Institute
6. Vasan Eye Care hospital
7. Supratech Micropath Laboratory & Research Centre Ahmedabad
On recommendation of the committee, constituted for verification of application, the above hospitals/diagnostic centers who are signed MOU and submitted Performance Bank Guarantee are empanelled as per Annexure under CGHS, Ahmedabad. The HosptiaIs/Diagnostic centers will treat CGHS beneficiaries and charge at the revised rates per MOU from the date of issue of this office memorandum.

Subject: Removal of Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, FC-34, A-4, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi-110063 - regarding.
With reference to the above mentioned subject the undersigned is to draw attention to No S 11011/23/2009/CGHS DII / Hospital Cell (part I) dated 7.10.2010 vide which Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, FC-34, A-4, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi was empanelled under CGHS, Delhi and to state that Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, FC-34, A-4, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi has conveyed its unwillingness to continue its empanelment under CGHS. The matter has been examined by this Ministry and it has been decided that Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, FC-34, A-4, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi shall stand removed from the list of empanelled hospitals under CGHS, Delhi with immediate effect.
2. It is further stated that Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, FC-34, A-4, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi shall however, complete the treatment of CGHS beneficiaries already admitted in the hospital for treatment at CGHS rates.
3. Action Cancer Hospital, H-2/FC-34, A-4, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi shall however,continue to be on CGHS panel.
This Office Memorandum comes into effect from the date of issue.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Revised Timings for CGHS Wellness Centres.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the OM of even no. dated 20th December, 2012 Vide which the new timings of 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM in the CGHS Wellness Centres in Delhi NCR were enforced w.e.f. lst January, 2013. The Ministry has received suggestions from different sections of CGHS beneficiaries in this regard and after due consideration of the same, it has been decided to further revise the timings of CGHS Wellness Centres from the current timings of 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM to the revised timings of 8.00 AM to 3.00 PM as per the following details:
The CGHS Wellness Centres will be functional from 8.00 AM to 3.00 PM.
The Wellness Centres will observe a lunch break of 30 minutes from 1.00 PM to 1.30 PM.
The six dispensaries in New Delhi working round the clock will not be covered under the revised timings and they will continue to function in shifts as usual.
The new timings will be applicable to all CGHS Wellness Centres in all CGHS cities across the country.
The new timings would also apply to the AYUSH dispensaries /units under CGHS all over the country.
The new timings will be effective from 1st April, 2013.
This issues with the approval of Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
