Subject: Clarification regarding release of Severance Amount in respect of the GDS expired before subscribing under SDB Scheme-reg.
Sir/Madam,
I am directed to refer to the Director of Accounts (Postal), Thiruananthapuram. letter No. 1381/GPF/GOS/SOBSI2011 dated 2.08.2011, on the subject cited above and to clarify that Admissible Severance Amount may be released to the heirs/nominees of such deceased GraminDakSevaks, "who have either not opted/not been enrolled under the Service Discharge Benefit Scheme and/or those who had been enrolled under the Scheme but in whose cases(s) no subscription has so far been made under SDBS", as per the existing procedure without referring to the provisions contained in this Directorate OM of even No. dated 1st April. 2011 and the Regulations enclosed therewith.
