Speednet MIS in DET is not tallying with Abstract - Solution

This is relating to SpeedNet MIS data showing more articles than the Daily Abstract of Office.

There may be articles in deposit in SpeedNet database for which returns are not taken or articles not dispatched in the package etc .. MIS checks the status of all the articles in the tables of SpeedNet and figures all those old articles in MIS.

Abstract works with the correction of OB and it will not take those deposit articles into account as the correction is given to the Opening balance for the current working day. This correction is allowed way back in the software inorder to facilitate smooth function of speednet everyday without stopping the module work for previous days non tallying of accounts and continues use of Abstract.

Non Tallying of Abstract - Reasons:

Wrong balance in Abstrcat occur when all the articles are not dispatched in the package, retuns are not taken correctly in the package etc. Also it is observed that most of the offices working with more than one operators and transfering articles between themselves or Supervisor are not using the <Bulk Transfer> option hence never the abstract talles.

Solution to Project Arrow offices:

Hence it advisable that at Project Arrow offices, where the disposal status for all old articles are not propely given, , SpeedNet software is reinstalled so that previous days wrong data accumulated in the database doesn't get accounted in the MIS. Thereafter everday supervisor has to confirm the absolute tallying of accounts in the software. Any problems of non tally thereafter can be taken up for immediate solutions. Note:
Though package has Delete Old data option, it will not delete the articles for which disposal status is not complete in the package.
We can't give the solution to delete the old data in the package as it may lead to data inconsistence in future and it may lead to some other problems.
Instead of deleting the Old Data through solution file, it is advisable to reinstall the package once and take care of every day accounts. PrintPDF
