This information was given by Minister of State in the Ministry of Human Resource Development Shri Dr. D.Purandeswari in written reply to a question (5680 - Shri MAHABAL MISHRA) raised in Lok Sabha on 07.09.2011 regarding Children Education Allowance for Central Government employees. MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT CHILDREN EDUCATION ALLOWANCEQuestion :- (a) whether expenses on education in Government schools/private schools have increased exorbitantly during the last three years; (b) if so, whether the Government proposes to increase the children education allowance/tuition fees; (c) if so, the details thereof; and (d) if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER :- MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (DR. D. PURANDESWARI) (a): There has been no exorbitant increase in education expenses in Government schools in the last three years. Ministry of Human Resource Development does not regulate educational expenses in Private schools. However, educational expenses in CBSE affiliated schools are regulated by CBSE’s Affiliation Bye- Laws. Fee charges in CBSE affiliated schools should be commensurate with the facilities provided by the schools. (b): There is no such proposal. (c): Does not arise. (d): Ministry of HRD does not control the tuition fees charged by Private schools. |
